November Card Swap

My card is all ready for my swap partner! I went with a general theme with this card, I used the emboss resist technique and I really like how it also highlighted the veins of the leaves. Maple leaves are my favorite because to me they represent Canada and Canada represents hockey and hockey represents the San Jose Sharks and the San Jose Sharks represent Dan Boyle and Dan Boyle represents Yum! Just a peak into my neurotic little brain! Lmao!

Happy World Card Making Day!!

This post is in honor of World Card Making Day! It was a birthday card for my MIL, and I had so much fun making it! The files are from Silhouette Online Store. I colored in the sketches with my Stampin' Up markers (LOVE those things) and I made the cupcake top POP! with my Stampin' Up Crystal Effects (new addiction...) The Sil store had 4 files of these popular 'swing' cards, and they are so much fun to create! Oh the possibilities!

Hope you had a fabulous card making day! Now get to work on your holiday cards! Only 80 days till Christmas, oh my!

((I haven't been updating blog, but I have been a busy crafter! I will load all images soon!))

I had tons of fun creating this card! I used several techniques and elements, and of course my Silhouette Cameo helped tremendously! I used the sketch and the die cutting feature.

September Card Swap

I am a member of a Facebook group (actually many groups, its my guilty pleasure) and I am participating in this months card swap! The theme is 'Back to School', I started working on this card as soon as I signed up for the swap because its my first one and I'm so excited! The group is full of talented ladies and I can't wait to see what my swap partner has done for me! Idea of swap is to create and also gain ideas from others techniques.

My card is below:

My main star yet again was my Silhouette Cameo! I also used the double adhesive for the apple, I'm so happy with how it looks!

I'll post the card that I receive when I get it!

Happy Birthday Evrleigh!

Today is my nieces birthday so in honour of her I've posted her personalized and handmade with love birthday gifts.

A sweet card, that I kinda went nuts on with smooch spritz... Oh well, I have to embrace it now its permanent! Lol!

A personalized tumbler, this side has her name.

This side has a quote from her favorite pop singer of ALL time... ::insert eye roll here:: The Biebs! It says "Follow your heart & Never say Never" and I traced his signature in silhouette and was able to add that on there. I'm not too happy with the way it looks, because I'm a little neurotic so I may end up changing it a bit but this is how it is at this time... Hee, hee!

Well that was my fruitful labor on this lovely Labor Day! Hope you spent yours with loved ones and made some memories!

I also dedicate a moment of peace to the Wilson family, whom today I found out lost their patriarch. I am deeply saddened as he was very generous of heart and soul. He will be missed greatly and I miss his teasing & ribbing! What a great man!

RIP Mr. Patrick M. Wilson, rest easy amongst the stars.

Ornament Box & Grinch Christmas Ornament

Silhouette Online Store is sooo addicting! Glad I have a subscription for all of the cool files! I made an ornament box for gifting my crafty ornaments! The file is only 99 cents and is made by Samantha Walker, only one of the tabs needs glue, the rest are just fold and tuck, very easy! It also has 2 starburst "cushion pillows" to hold your ornament in place!

Ornament Gifting Box

Ornament Box all assembled with ornament inside!

Open flap of box, so you can see starburst cushion pillow holding it upright.

My Decoration for all of Whoville!

Found this Grinch face file on a facebook file sharing group and
vinyled it onto my glittered ornament.

Then, I found a Grinch-like font and vinyled this on the reverse.

I had so much fun crafting these little goodies today, I think I just might hole up in my little craft room and play some more! If I do, I'll post all here! :)

Enjoy this Labor Day Monday!

DIY Glitter Ornament Gifts

Glitter Ornaments make great gifts and are super easy to make and personalize!

First, I started with a clear ornament that I purchased in a pack at Hobby Lobby.

To glitter the ornament, I used a liquid hairspray from the dollar store and I swirled it around the inside of the ornament, taking care to coat the entire inside of the ball. Be sure not to shake, as it will cause the liquid to bubble up. Then shake a generous amount of fine glitter in the ball and use the same swirl motion to coat the inside. After the entire ornament is coated, you may pour out the excess glitter for your next project! I glued my silver top on with Liquid Glass from Close to my Heart after I let it dry so the pins on the hook element would not scratch the inside of the ball.

To vinyl ornament, I just chose a font and a small graphic that I found in the Silhouette Online store. Tied a pretty ribbon on top and it's ready to go!

The Ornament is normal sized, although it looks small in the photo! I can't wait to create more!! I do need to get some fancier ribbon though! This ribbon doesn't do this beautiful art piece justice!

That's it folks! Till next time, please if you have any questions, leave a comment! :)
